Sarawak Malaysia My Second Home (S-MM2H) is a state-specific long-term visa scheme designed for foreigners and retirees who want to spend significant time in the Malaysian state of Sarawak.

Business, Investment and Employment |
All S-MM2H participants are not allowed to work as full-time, but are allowed to work as part-timers in professional jobs sectors approved by the state government and the total working hours must not exceed 20 hours per week. Professional sector: Education, Banking/Securities, Manufacturing and Medical. Allowed to be "sleeping partner" in Joint- venture (JV) business with local partner in sectors approved by the state government. S-MM2H participants must own a minimum of 49% of the total paid-up capital of RM250,000 |

The Sarawak-Malaysia My Second Home (S-MM2H) program is a state-administered long-term residency scheme for foreigners who wish to reside in Sarawak, Malaysia. It provides a renewable Social Visit Pass valid for 5 years and extendable for another 5 years, up to a maximum of 10 years.
It applies to the principal applicant only. Dependents are not required to meet this condition.
Failure to meet this condition may affect your visa renewal or lead to cancellation in serious cases.
Applicants must be 30 years of age or older at the time of application.
Applicants must meet :
A fixed deposit of RM500,000 in a Sarawak bank; AND
Latest 3 months Bank Statements of:
Offshore income of RM10,000/month (single) or RM15,000/month (couple);
OR
Liquid savings of RM100,000/year (single) or RM200,000/year (couple or with dependents).

Yes. All applicants and adult dependents must complete a medical exam within Sarawak using the official form.

a) Apply directly (with a local Sarawakian sponsor)
b) Apply through a licensed S-MM2H agent
Yes. You may submit an appeal to MTCP with additional supporting documentation.

No. You must obtain separate permits (For example: Premium Visa Programme, Employment Pass or federal MM2H - Platinum Category) approval to work or invest actively in Peninsular Malaysia legally.
Yes. Children enrolled in any school in Sarawak must obtain a Student Pass even if they are dependents.
