Differences among the MM2Hs and PVIP at a glance

Foreigners exploring Malaysia's residency visa options now have more than one route to choose from — which can feel overwhelming at first glance.
Three programmes are currently active: the national Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) scheme and the Premium Visa Programme (PVIP), both run by the federal government, and the state-run Sarawak MM2H. A fourth, Sabah MM2H, has had its policies approved "in principle" by the relevant authority and is in the pipeline.
For a detailed, up-to-date side-by-side comparison of PVIP and MM2H requirements — deposit amounts, duration, stay requirements, dependants and cost — see MYPVIP's own PVIP and MM2H pages.
